What is the InBody 270?
The InBody 270 is a portable yet accurate body composition analyzer that uses only impedance to determine body composition results within 15 seconds. No statistical data or empirical equations are used or required to predict body composition. The InBody 270 measures and records a user’s weight, skeletal muscle mass, and percent body fat from the last eight tests to track progress over time. No dunking. No pinching. No discomfort. Simply stand on the device and hold the hand electrodes to test.
How is an InBody test performed?
Safe, low-level currents are sent through the body through the hand and foot electrodes. The impedance the currents encounter is measured, and from there, your body composition is derived. With InBody’s patented technology, BIA has never been more highly correlated with gold standard methods until now.
How long is the test with InBody 270?
The InBody 270 test will take 15 seconds and the results will print automatically after testing. It is recommended to test every 2-4 weeks to monitor and track the progress.
How does the voice guidance system work?
Simply follow the steps on the unit’s screen and listen for the testing procedures, it’s that easy!
What is an InBody 270 result sheet?
Each InBody Test will print out a full-page results sheet detailing the muscle, fat, and water values of the user, including lean mass and fat values in each segment of the body. Click on the Result Sheet Interpretation tab above to see the test result sheet with an explanation.Â
What is Segmental Lean Mass Analysis?
Segmental lean mass analysis identifies how many pounds of lean mass and fat are in each body segment. This can be utilized to determine how specific diets and exercises are affecting body composition. For more information please go to the InBody 270 Result Sheet Interpretation page.
Can the InBody 270 assist with dietary changes or fitness routines?
The InBody 270 goes beyond weight and measures how much lean mass a user has in each body segment. With these values, a user can monitor how the body is adjusting to dietary changes, fitness routines, and lifestyle modifications.Â
How can I manage my clients’ test results data?
You can purchase our LookinBody Data Management cloud software. The built-in management system allows you to maintain and manage clients individually, giving you more insight on how you can keep your clients on track towards their goals.
